The process for getting acrylic nails begins with preparing your natural nails by filing and buffing them. Then, the nail technician will apply a primer and a base coat, followed by the acrylic powder and liquid. Once the nails have hardened, they will be filed and shaped, and a top coat will be applied for a shiny finish.
At DamnNaile, we believe that every set should feel like it was made just for you—because it is! To ensure a perfect, comfortable fit, we offer custom-sized press-on nails tailored to your unique nail measurements.
There are two simple ways to measure your nail size:
Option 1: DIY Measuring at Home
All you need is:
- Transparent tape
- A ruler (preferably in millimeters)
- A pen or marker
Steps:
- Cut a small strip of tape and place it over your nail
- Use the pen to mark the widest points (side to side) of your nail bed
- Remove the tape and place it on a ruler to measure the distance in mm
- Repeat for all 10 nails and send us your sizes!
Option 2: The Coin Method (Quick & Simple)
Use any common coin like ₹1, ₹2, or ₹10

- Place the coin next to your nail (not on top of it) on your hand
- Take a clear photo with your nail and the coin side-by-side
- Send us that photo via Instagram or WhatsApp
- We’ll visually compare your nail width with the coin to estimate your nail sizes

Follow these easy steps for a salon-quality application at home:
🧼 Step 1: Prep Your Natural Nails
- Wash your hands and dry them completely.
- Use the alcohol pad to clean your natural nails.
→ This removes oil and dust for better glue hold.
- Gently push back your cuticles using the cuticle pusher.
→ This gives a cleaner look and helps the nails sit better.
- Lightly buff the surface of your nails using a nail buffer or a fine nail file.
→ This creates a slightly rough surface that helps the glue stick better and extends wear time.
✂️ Step 2: Match & Arrange
- Lay out all the press-on nails in order.
→ Match each nail to the correct finger before applying.
(Tip: Start with pinkies and go toward your thumbs.)
🧴 Step 3: Apply the Glue
- Apply a small dot of glue to your natural nail.
- Apply another small dot to the back of the press-on nail (optional for extra hold).
→ Don’t use too much—this prevents glue overflow on the sides.
🤚 Step 4: Press & Hold
- Place the press-on nail just above your cuticle (not directly on it).
- Press down firmly and hold for 15–30 seconds.
→ Make sure the nail is aligned straight, and no air bubbles are trapped underneath.

To make them last 7–14 days:
- Avoid water, oil, or heavy pressure for at least 1–2 hours after application
- Carry your glue with you for quick touch-ups if needed
Never rip or force your press-on nails off! Here's the safest way to protect your natural nails and reuse your press-ons if you’d like:
Soak & Slide Method (Gentle + Reusable)
What you need:
- A bowl of warm water
- A little soap
- A few drops of cuticle oil or any cooking oil
- Cuticle pusher or orange stick
Steps:
- Fill a bowl with warm water, add a bit of soap and a few drops of oil
- Soak your hands for 10–15 minutes
- Once the glue softens, use the cuticle pusher to gently lift the press-on from the sides
- Wiggle slowly side to side until it comes off—don’t force it!
